Lan setting no responde
In my OS which is window 2000 professional with SP4 I am having a problem
with the Lan setting. When I put a check mark in the automatically detect setting and then when I click the OK button there is no responde. I click the the cancel button it responde by closeing the dialog box. I did disk scan and it is still the same problem. since I click the cancel button the check mark is remove and I could not access the internet. I even disable all start up programs and the problem still exsists. I tried to to do a repair using the 2000 pro installation disk, but get a message that it cannot proceed because my SP is a 4 and the installation is a 2 and it suggest that I start a reinstalled I do not want to do a reinstalled because I have to start with with all my other programs from scratch, programs cannot be save in upgrade status. any advice could be very helpful. Thanks |

In my signature below is SUPERAntiSPyware, run that on C: then reboot after that and run WinSockFix.
