Cannot Connect to a Site anymore

One morning this week I was able to connect to a site (www.divinelegionguild.com) with no problem. Then, I went into the server cpanel, and logged into the site using smartftp, and ever since, I cannot connect to the site. not with IE, and not with smartftp. As far as I know, I only looked around in the cpanel, and ftp, I didn't actually change anything.

The site is not down, as I went into it from home, including the cpanel, and acessing the ftp via smartftp. I checked to see if my ip was banned, and it doesn't seem to be.

What could I have done on my end, or to the server settings, to make it so I cannot connect to the site with this comp anymore?

Running:

Windows Xp SP2
IE 6.0.29
Norton Internet Security

im not sure, but i'd advise you check your hosts file
C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

most ppl should either have it blank or just have the local host line

well, its not my computer, so I don't really want to install another browser, but I will if I have to. but, I also cannot connect with Smartftp, either, so I can't see how it can be just a problem with IE.

can both of you try disabling norton for a moment, just to see if it's had an update thats the cause

I ment your isp

Who hosts your site? Have you tried contacting them?

I disabled Norton Internet Security and Norton Anti-virus, neither had an effect.

The site is hosted by a friend on his server. I've mentioned it to him, he's not sure whats goiong on.

I have ftp and cpanel access to the site (obviously not from this comp), so, if there's anything you suggest on that end, I can look into it. I've already checked to see if my IP is banned from the site, and as far as I can tell, its not.

How could it be my ISP if I could connec to it one minute, and then not connect the next?

Update:

After exploring CTH, I cam across someone who suggested this site:

http://www.anonymizer.com//services/surf_for_free.html

which I used to try and connect to the site, and it worked! but, since it seems to be run by a greedy bunch, they won't let me access the whole site.

What can this mean? my ISP or my IP must be blocked from the site I'm trying to access if this web-based proxy thing allows me to connect, right?
