If you have Vista, stick with it for now, because Windows 7 while it holds alot of the same features and some new ones, and can run on any vista machine, you'll be spending about 200 just to get the low level upgrade. For more information, including prices go to windows.microsoft.com

I bought the Vista home premium OEM system builders pack from newegg.com and it came with a free Win 7 upgrade! Although I think Ill wait a year after Win 7 comes out so that Microsoft can be like 60 million dutch boys with their fingers in the dyke plugging all the exploits that are sure to come with a new OS

The link above shows a list of participating manufactures.

This is the direct Samsung lnk for the upgrade. The one supplied on the microsoft website is kinda of broken and does not seem to be accurate. This one works though.

Hunt, With all due respect, my laptop purchased this year didn't come with that coupon, and I wouldn't go to Windows 7 till it's been well established anyways. Microsoft has been pushing all sorts of stuff with their new ones, and for a good while after the first release there will be ALOT of bugs. Untill they get them all fixed up I'm happy to stay with Windows Vista
