Ok, I will certainly try that. It may take me a few days to figure out if it is going to work better, since life just won't let me play on the computer as much as I might like! I also have a computer running Windows XP, which I loved. I rarely use it because it is SO terribly slow, but I have some software programs I really like on it. I have held onto it in hopes of somehow learning to fix the problem. Thanks for all your time, and I'll be back asap to let you know how the Live Essentials works out!

Take your time, I'm not going anyplace, I hope.
So let me understand, are you having the same video problem in Movie Maker on the XP computer also?

Sorry, been busy with the family and the garden. No, I don't make any movies on there, wouldn't even attempt it, lol. It is way too slow. I just keep it because I really liked XP, and hope to someday make it usable again. I have seen that I already have Windows Live on this pc, and the movie maker software looks a bit different. So I guess the next step is to try to make a movie with it.
