Are PC Booster and Modem Booster for real??
While surfing through a "freeware" site I came across the products "PC Booster" and "Modem Booster" by InkLine Global (although it's not free. I think $39.00 for both). They claim all sorts of things, i.e. cleans the p.c, etc., but mostly that the p.c and modem will both see a dramatic increase in speed...guaranteed. Does anybody know if they're for real and worth it or not?

Hi MrBond
Unlikely to do much you couldn't do yourself. Most modem boosters only work by pre downloading all the links on a page so that when you click on one it's already there. Hence the need for a cleaner, all that extra junk in the cache. I doubt if the applications you read about are worth the money. |

the only internet booster than makes a real difference is ONSPEED, as it compresses the data b4 you download anything, others just make a few registery tweaks that hardley improve things.
