Firefox and IE 9 and Firefox 11 freezes up when using Adobe Flash Player

I have a new Dell Inspiron One 23 with Processor: Inspiron One 2320, Intel i7-2600S processor (8MB Cache, 80GHz). It has the Windows 7 OS 64 Bit. Whenever I watch a video using Adobe Flash Player, both of my browsers, IE 9 and Firefox 11 freeze up. I cannot click out. I click out and then have to wait and wait. Then it usually closes.

Thanks for your help!

Here is a good Step-by-Step, once you have determined that you do have 64bit Internet Explorer and Firefox and reinstalled Flash, and still have problems then go Here. Or post back.

Hi Murf,
I do have a 64 bit OS and the latest Flash Player is installed. I am still experiencing problems. Both on Firefox and IE.
Thanks!

Well we will assume that since the computer is "new" then it's a problem with either Flash or a driver. Or your sound driver could be the culprit.

Reboot the computer and repeatedly press "F8" key until it prompts you how you want to boot, select "Safe Mode with Networking". Once the computer has loaded up (the screen may appear funny) go to a site to watch a video (best if you pick one that you had problems with), if it works OK then you probably have a driver problem. Let us know.

Hi Murf,
It worked fine in Safe Mode. So what's next? I can't believe I am having issues with this new computer. So disappointed. Thanks for your help.

Hi Murf,
I am still experiencing problems. I went to Dell.com and there weren't any driver updates, etc. Please advise. Thanks for your help.
