cannot create a system restore point in vista ultimate

My last system restore point is 3 months old. I am logged onto my system as an Administrator, however when I try to create a System Restore Point I get the message Access Denied. Any Clues?

Hi pip1530. Click on the Start orb and type System Restore in the Start Search box. System Restore will appear at the top of the Menu. Rightclick on it and choose "Run as Administrator". Click on Open System Protection and see if you can create a restore point now.

Hiya, Thanks for that but I still get the following message, "The restore point could not be created for the following reason: Access is denied. (0x80070005). Please try again"

Hope that helps

Thanks for all the help vis a vis unable to operate system restore points in vista. Problem was solved in the end by deleting my profile from Security Permissions for folders. Reinserting my profile has cleared the access denied on Manual Restore. Thanks again
