Are you trying to remove Fedora Core 6? If so, Your Windows Vista CD will reformat the drive before it installs. Another way of doing it would be to use the drive tool from the manufacturer of your harddrive to reformat or write zeros to the drive. To use this method you'll need to know the name of the manufacturer and model of the drive.

Hope this helps.

Hello!

This has only happened to me once (out of many Linux->Windows formats, and vice versa), but you may format and install Vista only to find that Grub still occupies your MBR and you cannot boot into Vista. If this does happen a quick fdisk /mbr on a dos floppy will clear it up.

Otherwise, just pop that Vista cd in there, delete all linux related partitions and then create new one(s) and begin the installation!

Best of luck
