Smile AVG Antivirus free ?????

I have AVG Antivirus on an old laptop I use some, can I also download it to my desktop computer too, I think I read that there was only one license per household is that correct? I sure don't want to abuse their freeware. Some folks say yes and some say no.
Thanks!

the license is specific, only one copy is allowed per household. anyone who is using more than one is in violation in spite of what anyone else says.
