Cant Boot from UEFI
Acer laptop - fresh install of Win 10
Had to change BIOS to boot from legacy as it was from a DVD All installed OK Go back to BIOS to change to boot from UEFI and Secure Boot, and it won't boot Thought it was best on UEFI Any Ideas - Thanks |

So to your knowledge the Windows 10 DVD was not a UEFI boot one???
Try this: Boot to BIOS pressing F2 Go to BOOT tab press enter on BOOT mode and select UEFI press F10 to save and exit let your system boot to windows If that is what you did and it won't boot. Then get into Disk Management and look at the partitions do you see a EFI partition, which means if it isn't there Windows was not installed under UEFI. START>CONTROL PANEL>SYSTEM and SECURITY>ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS>COMPUTER MANAGEMENT or Right click Start and see if you have disk management there. |

Yep
NTFS Partition ![]() It was installed via a USB DVD Drive - what could I have done to install under UEFI ? I thought all Windows 10 downloads were UEFI ?? |
