How to install firefox icon back on desktop??

I want to put another Firefox icon on my desktop (it is on task bar).
I did a search and did as it suggested and it did not give option to put on desktop.

Also do I do the same way for Ie too?

If you want to add a Firefox tile to the Start screen, with the Start screen showing, just start typing the word "Firefox." When it appears in the list in right-hand Search pane, right click it and in the menu that opens, left click "Pin to Start."

Start, search type Firefox, on the result highlite by right clicking then go to Sent To: Click on Desktop

does not give me option for desktop.

I went into the program file and had to drag it to desktop but it worked.

Then you should follow following steps-
1. go to the programme where it is originally installed.
2. Now right click on the file and click on create chortcut.
3. Now the shortcut has been created here (in the same folder)
4. Now copy the shortcut and post on your desktop
