How to select Driver Updater tool?
I find there are lots of driver updater tools available now, but how to select the best one?
Yesterday, IObit Driver Booster was released, it said the easiest, one click "update" all outdated drivers. It's free version, but I don't know whether this free software are better. thanks for your advice. |

Personally I wouldn't use any software that IObit makes.
Here's a discussion that you might want to look at. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=348290 I agree wtih the person who said that if it isn't broke don't fix it. If I need to update a driver I usually look for it on the manufacturers website for the device I need the update for. |

personally I would not use a driver update. first of all, for oem, all drivers should come from the computer manufacturers website, not the hardware manufacturers. Though the oem hardware may have the same model number, the computer manufacturer may have required some minor changes. You really cannot trust a driver update tool to pick it up. I learned this the hard way when the driver tool I used gave me the wrong updates. If you must update the driver, it would be best to manually check the computers manufacturers site regularly.
Also drivers dont get updated that often, do you really need another utility to run at startup using your computer resources. |
