I Need Help To Repair Windows!
Hey guys....
I've just been joining my PC to a Network we've set-up around the house. After doing this, it said I needed to restart... but the PC just shut down (or went in stand by or something). Having waited for over 10 minutes I decided to hit the restart button and was confronted by the following message on loading: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM You can attempt to repair this file by start WIndows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair. The same message occurs in Safe Mode, so I tried to repair it. I've selected the Windows console, and change the directory to SYSTEM32\CONFIG\ but I don't know what to do from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I urgently need the PC fixed, I have an assignment due tomorrow, lol. Cheers guys - Dan |
