Trying to restore a previous version of an MS Word document

my computer shut down as i was cutting and pasting from one document to another. the document i cut from no longer has the section i cut, and the document i was pasting to was only restored to the pre-paste condition. żis there a way to restore the document from which i cut to the pre-cut version?

When windows is shutdown abruptly it doesn't have time to save changes to files and documents.

I doubt very much that you'll be able to restore this.
