Unhappy trojan horse infected atiupdpl

What does atiupdpl do anyway? It was infected with a trojan virus (trojan.proxy.314), Norton 2002 won't even detect it , I found it by scanning with a free program I downloaded, but it won't fix it unless I buy it , and I don't have a credit card. How do I get rid of this virus?

Hi skrumrie,

Atiupdpl.exe is a very unwanted file that allows remote access to your pc. If you go here http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...ad.php?t=37546 and follow the instructions you will find solutions and assistance from the CTH Cyber Safety folks to clean your system. No credit card needed (though subscribing to CTH is always a good thing).
