Random reboots

Computer randomly reboots without ryme or reason.Mostly when trying to install adobe acrobat(this is when we first noticed the problem.)Run Spy\Adware scans, virus scans(rebooted during this , still trying at the moment..),installs other programs fine. It's baffling , any help you can offer would be welcomed , your expertise has always been helpful in the past(yes , I too am learning to be a computer expert one crash at a time).

Check in System Properties that the OS is not set to Automatically Reboot on Errors.

Check the event logs, they can be found under admin tools. could be a simple as a program running in the background thats causing the problem.
did this random rebooting just start to occur, or has it been going on for awhile and getting progressivly worse? does it do this when it's first booted up? or does it take a bit of time before it happens?
