no sound and video games not working after reboot
win xp sp3
ASUS P5Q-E - LGA775 Socket Corsair XMS2 - 2x2GB - DDR2 - 1066 MHz - DIMM 240-pin / PC2-8500 CL5 (5-6-6-18) 2.1 V Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 / 3 GHz eVGA GeForce GTX 260 corsair 650W often after reboot, there is no sound anymore, and video and games wont start anymore. the harddisk then makes sounds as if it is writing. when i want to close the pc, there is this message: 'closing smax4pnp' usually when i shut down the pc (turn it off) and then start up again, it is back to normal, with sound and games working again. but now that wont work either. i can still browse on this pc and applications seem to work, but no sound, videos or games. |
