HP w1907 LCD monitor broke, need help fixing
I know this isn't really the place, but I don't know where to go about this. My sister had this monitor in her garage after someone had punched it, which made the monitor un-usable. Anyways I took it off her hands and I need to know of ways to fix it. Here's a pic of what we have going on so far:
I have an old crappy CRT monitor which is pretty much about to die anyways, and I'd like to get this working if at all possible. When on, it looks like broken glass, even though the screen isn't broke itself. I can get some image on the left and very little on the right when I connect it to my comp, but it then goes black withing a min or so. Anyways, is there a way to repair it without buying parts? Or do I have to buy parts? and if so, what are good sites to buy parts for this model? Also could you show me to a great how-to on taking it apart? Or is it even safe to take apart? because on the back it says "Mercury inside" or whatever. Last edited by Crazy K; September 5th, 2010 at 11:15 PM. |

Any other sites where I don't have to pay outrageous sums for postage?
haha, never mind, just realized that it was on the ebay uk site. It's only $9 shipping. Last edited by Crazy K; September 7th, 2010 at 09:00 PM. |
