Talking Too Much CPU Usage!?!?!

Well, I was working on my cousins computer trying to install their cd burner. Things went well except i notice His cpu usage is at a constant 100% which makes things REALLY slow to work with. I checked the processes and there are no processes taking up and cpu except for the system. Plz help.

The first thing I would check when you have System running high is for spyware/malware. Download and update the usual programs like Adaware and Spybot S&D.
