soft vs. hard
I was asking on other places, but I`m gathering the different opinions.
I`m working in the middle size business. We`re looking for shared storage I`m considering what iSCSI solution is better if compare of price and functionality - software or hardware? And what vendor is more reliable? |

I'm not really sure what you are asking here but lets see what we can come up with. A med sized business needs some shared storage. Are you asking what would be more cost effective between a hardware solution or software? Also do you mean by software an online storage platform or just in house servers running a software solution? The best bet is a mix of both. Of course that is very generalized answer to a question I know but without more detail its hard to give a "brass tacks" answer.

We`ve got <200 clients. I`m intrested in idea of mixing online storage platform and servers running a software solution. What can it be?

Hi!
I don`t really get what do you mean under "mixing" idea, but I`ll tell you on my experience that there can`t be any "hardware" solutions for SMB. It`s too expensive. I think you should take a look at Datacore and StarWind. |

Why not other vendors - Lefthand for example?
