I think $25 is a ridiculous price to pay for that program. And sorry, but I find it suspicious you suddenly joined this forum today just to post a link to a commercial product in a reply to a brand new thread. I sure hope you don't have a financial incentive to promote that product.
@bubbanm - It is simple to open a command prompt (you may need to open as administrator), move to the folder (directory) you want a list of, and then enter: dir > folderlist.txt and press Enter. (Note "folderlist" is just the name I picked. You can use whatever you want, just ensure you end with ".txt") That will create a file with a list of the contents that you can then simply open with Notepad or your word processor program and you can then print, if you want. If this is something you won't be doing very often, then I recommend you this process. The ">" is a "redirect" command. If you have multiple folders you want to print or save to one file, you can move the other folder then enter: dir >> folderlist.txt and press Enter. That will "append" the list to the folderlist.txt file. If you will be doing this often, there are several totally "FREE" programs you can choose from. See How-To Geek: How to Print or Save a Directory Listing to a File for detailed and illustrated instructions in using the command prompt, as well as a link to a very good free program that lets you copy folder contents to your clipboard, or directly into a Word or Excel document. |
