Crashed Mozilla
Although operational on my desktop PC that uses a wireless USB connection, Mozilla Firefox has crashed on the laptop.
All I get is a small window titled Mozilla Crash Reporter giving me the options to Close Firefox or Restart Firefox. Restart simply repeats the crash notice. I've checked the Windows firewall and reset the router. I've also uninstalled Mozilla and reinstalled it. Nothing I do appears to have any effect. Can you suggest something else I can try? The USB connection on the desktop is new but I can't see how that would affect only Mozilla and only on the laptop. I use the laptop as my main computer and keep the old desktop operational as it still has its uses. Thanks in advance (once again) Brian. Perhaps I should add that the desktop runs on XP and the laptop on Vista. Also, just noticed similar threads on CTH so it appears to be a current problem. I've just solved my own problem with the info from this web page :
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/...Crash+Reporter I managed to open MF in Safe Mode (Run: firefox -safe-mode) and set the Default Theme. I've had no problem with Firefox after that. I hope this helps others who are experiencing similar difficulties. Brian. |
