Booting Error
Hello,
For some reason, everytime I boot my computer, I get an error behind a black screen. If I press close, then the screen goes black and I have to boot it manually. The desktop will only show if I exit it using the X. And even then, the desktop opens up only 50% of the time. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. The error details are as follows. Hi Sovetcki. Do you still have a problem if you boot into Safe Mode (restart your computer and tap F8 continuously as it restarts)?

In safe mode, the problem is nonexistent.

Ok, that indicates that one of your startups may be causing the problem. Try clean boot troubleshooting to see if you can isolate the problem. See here for more information.

None of the startups or services seem to be causing the error.

Did you cleanboot using the method described in the link and still get the error?

Hmm, it might be hardware related. Try disconnecting all peripherals with the exception of your keyboard, mouse and monitor. Boot now. Do you still have a problem?

Reinstall IE7 and then check

No, I recently reconnected everything. It's not a hardware problem. I guess i'm going to have to run a system restore.

Have you tried reinstalling ie7 as the error relateds to it.

I appreciate that you are trying to help sheldondsouza however you cannot reinstall IE7 in Vista. It's integrated with the OS. Additionally, the WinXP/2K version that is available for download from the Microsoft site is not the same as the Vista version.
