reinstalling XP
I need to format my computer. However when I purchased my compaq the XP CD was not included. I am having so many problems that I need to format and start fresh.

a restore disk should have came with your computer, use that. If you have neither, then the only thing you can do is to purchase a copy of winxp or contact compaq and try to get a replacement.
