dvd recorders.. DVD-R.. computers.. i have issues
a friend of mine took a vhs i recorded and ran it through her VCR/DVD recorder which can only record onto DVD-R disks so i got some of those and when i put it into my computer it played fine and it also played on a few different dvd players i found but im wondering how or if i would be able to save those files to my hard drive in order to edit the movie. my computer has a DVD+R burner so i assumed it would also take a DVD-R and it played it as i said before. it wont save my files or load onto windows moviemaker because it says it doesnt support that format. I DONT UNDERSTAND!!!

Download a free burner like BS or Burn4free and you should be able to copy the file and then put it into windows to edit. Also make sure you have a comprehensive codec pack like Ace mega pack which is a free dl.
