How to eliminate pop up message from ie6?

Greetings, I keep getting an error message as a pop up window which tells me that "Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." It also says that "If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost." and it offeres me the option to check for restarting Microsoft Internet Explorer once the Close button is chosen.

I did a repair through the add/remove option under the controls and the problem remains. Can anyone walk me through getting rid of the message?

Thanks.

By the way, how can I insert a picture of the pop up message here? I am unable to cut and paste it here.

Thanks again......

Hi buddy...what OS are you on??

Regarding the paste thing.....you cant.....unless you can upload it to some webspace and either post the link or insert the image via the insert image button using the link.

Do you not see an Attach files button on the page you post your reply from? Any images uploaded via that got into a queue that a mod or admin has to approve it but that's an option you can use (if it still works the way I think it does)

Sounds alot like a computer resource problem. Tell us about your computer, os, ram, cpu, harddrive size/space available to start with.

Spyware can also cause this problem. To eliminate spyware as the cause of your problem, it would be a good idea if we checked your startups. Go here and download the latest version of Hijack This to a new folder on your drive, unzip it and run a scan. Most of the files listed will be harmless and/or required so do not make any changes, just click on Save Log, copy it and post it back in this thread.

OK, about the pop up message.... it is still there (right on my face as we speak...). I am running "solo" on an NT workstation. About the image... I am still trying to figure it out. I am confused because there is an Insert Image button here which is explained as: "The [img] tag allows you to embed images within your posts. You can also combine this tag with the [url] tag to maked images become links", but I can't get the image file there....

Thanks

Do you have any suggestions about the term I should use to search for the info? I did some searching and only sent me to the repair option.

Thanks.

No, I don't get an attach files option, only an Insert Image button which I don't know how to work.

Thanks

Can you tell me a little about what a "computer resource problem" would mean. Specially since the error message came up out of nowhere.... Although I've been messing with getting that old scanner driver loaded.

Anyway, I am running a Dell windows NT with a RAM of 130,472 x86 family 6? with 143mb free space.

Is this a typo problem?

Thanks

Reboot your PC and delete the below folder in bold.

C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer

BTW..your installation of Bugnosis has corrupted. If you have not uninstalled it, it will need to be reinstalled.

Run Hijack This again and post back a new log. Also let us know if you notice any improvement.
