how to install linux on an old Dell Inspiron 9200 desktop?
Hello everyone!
I was about to sell our old desktop (was selling it for just $20). But, my son accidentally deleted some user files. In the process, it would not accept our passwords anymore. It used to be running Windows 10. Since it is useless now, I was thinking of formatting the drive clean and install Linux just for fun. I haven't tried this before. May I ask for your directions how to? Thank you! |

based on your other post from February, I thought you already installed linux?
anyway since it is an older computer and linux mint has updated since you originally asked, I would suggest using lubuntu. see the following http://lubuntu.net/ |

When we were about to sell the desktop yesterday, my son accidentally deleted his profile file and the machine wouldn't accept our passwords anymore. So I thought of installing linux instead now. The person just wants it for browsing in his garage being a mechanic. I thought linux should do. I found my Win 7 installer. So now, I'm thinking of installing 2 OS, Win 7 and linux. Can I do that? |
