I've never been picky or disappointed. So find one that does what you want and buy it.

So the system its on has no real affect on what you get?? I was kinda wondering if most of the cases have generic sizes for installation?? Case size(ATX??)

Generic sizes? No. These sizes are industry standard as dictated by the ATX Form Factor standard. They are all 5.25 inches wide. While 1/2 height are available, they typically are used in notebooks.

Your computer uses SATA drive interfaces so you will need that kind - the most common these days. And your power supply should have a spare connector (also standard) to power it.

But understand Windows does not come with all the necessary software to watch Blue-ray movies. See https://www.windowscentral.com/how-w...scs-windows-10

This is what your Gateway looks like?

If this is the case, you can install most any SATA 5.25 BLUE-RAY Drive into either open 5.25 bays.
Here's an LG from NewEgg: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

You can upgrade from the On-Board Video, to a PCI Express x16 Video Card.

But, your Power Supply is only 300Watts.
So, check the power requirements of the video card first, too see if it you'll need to upgrade the PS.

Max out the Memory to 16GB of DDR3 SRAM Memory.

Note: You only have two memory slots, which have a 2GB & 4GB stick in them.
So too get the maximum 16GB memory in. You'll have to replace both memory sticks with two 8GB sticks.

Put in a SSD Drive as the Main Boot & OS Drive: C:\ and make the old HDD Drive storage: D:\

Really, this Gateway can be upgraded in so many ways to make it a halfway decent system for most things you want to do.

Thanks man,, this is huge..That leads me to one other question. Where can i find a diagram of how this case is set up?? It seems one of my kids broke a headphone plug in the upper audio jack above the DVD rom?? Ive looked all over Gateway/Acer and couldnt seem to find one..Maybe just getting the cover off might help me remedy that situation.

I've done a search on your particular model, but can not find any diagrams either.

I see lots of Gateway Towers of your model, or later versions showing up on E-bay, and such.
But, if you have a Electronic Recycler nearby.....
Go rummage through some of they're parts piles, and find a Gateway Tower case that has a front cover that isn't damaged.
{They may let you take just the front cover, or the whole Tower case.}
Then when you get back home, switch out the damaged front cover, with the one you got from the Electronic Recycler.

If you come up with zip......

The other option is to just repair the audio jack.
But, if you don't know how too solder, or just don't have the tools.
Then just leave it till you buy a new computer.

That said.....
I'm curious as too how the Audio Jack got broken?

Okay.....

Well, you still have the Green Rear Audio Jack on the back of the case.
Get yourself a 3.5mm Stereo Extension Cord.

Plug it in to the Green Rear Audio Jack, and run the other end to the front of the case.
Then tape it to the top of the computer case, or just leave it loose.
