Exclamation Computer Sucks - Seems like the hdd turns off

OK! Big problem here. My system is old - 7 years old to be exact. It worked fine a few months ago, but now, it seems to be dying.

After about 1 hr. without system activity, it completely freezes. It seems like the hard drive has turned off. I can't move the mouse, use the keyboard or even turn it off without uninstalling the power cord. I've tried to keep it up by using the auto-refresh function on Flashpeak Slimbrowser, but it turns up with a NO_PAGE_AVAILABLE bluescreen and it freezes up even then trying to do a memory dump.

The hecks goin on here? Someone, please help! I'm currently at the point where it is making me so ferociously angry I have actually bashed the computer with a 10lb dumbell several times. Please... help, or I will probably end up going insane and end up in some mental institution!
