Question Unable to use Mac Address Filtering with my new Windows 7 Machine

I have not been able to use Mac Address Filtering to ONLY allow the computers with certain Mac Addresses to have access to the network since the purchase of my new Windows 7 machine (specs below). This is the most secure way I understand to set up my network.
Model Name: Dell Studio 15
Model No: PP39L
Processor Name: i5 M450
Processor Speed: 2.40 GHz
Memory: 4 GB
I will send the details from my ipconfig /all report in another message.

My router
Model: Linksys WRT54G
Firmware: v1.02.8
I like using the "Wireless" >> "Wireless MAC Filter" to "Enable" >> "Permit Only PCs listed to access the wireless network"

All my other machines work fine like this, but not my Windows 7 machine. Can someone help me diagnose and solve this problem?

And of course I added "00-27-10-31-5E-08" to my list.
Duh, obvious, but wanted to prevent any of you smarty pantses from any assumptions that I may have overlooked this simple step.

Its strange that it is working for other systems not the win7 'cause a MAC is just a MAC address.

We can see if we can figure out whats up, but first I have to be a smarty pants and ask did you enter the MAC in the correct format either xxxxxxxxxxxx or xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx? I believe that linksys won't handle the '-' notation.

BTW - I'd have to say that MAC filters are far from the most secure and actually can be easily gotten around. I hope you have encryption enabled, preferably WPA/WPA2...
