American State passes droopy pants law

LOL
Now this is one "Fashion" statement I thought would fade out, but since it hasn't, there now is a law against it in the States!

Great idea, outlaw it. The one thing that would make more little punks wear them. What they need to do is get the politicians to wear them for a week to show 'mummy's little gangster' just how cool they are. I bet no one wears them again.

LOL
What an image you've produced...("Hey, Yeah, Whoah Bro!" political Bods swaggering into parliamentary sessions)

Totally agree with you though...it would be a big enough turn off to stop the baggy pants trend and their displaysLOL

the jails going to be full of plumbers if it passes

Though it looks bad, I see nothing wrong with it. Its a personal choice and if they want to show off their skid marks then they can.

Lol. Personally got nothing against it, providing the pants aren't on the floor.

LOL You arrre naughtyyy!
Um...can't see it happening for women though...it would be a fashion "Boo-Boo"

Interesting to look at how laws affect fashions and what people should wear. Check out what's gone on Down Under over the years - For example, we cerainly have gone a long way from "neck to knees" in swim wear. But then, it really all depends on what is acceptable, where it is acceptable, and the "whys" it can be unacceptable:

When I was growing up in South Florida and the style was skin tight jeans, the only ones wearing baggy pants were old men.

Now my age group is old and the old men are wearing tight jeans.

So I guess the current style means there's going to be another generation of old men in baggy pants.

Reminds me of this:
Togs or Undies?

How far away from the beach do togs become undies?
Skin tight swimming togs: an item of clothing you'd happily wear in public, but not in public.
So how far is too far? Let's begin.
Togs, togs, togs, togs, togs, togs, togs, togs, togs, togs, undies.
Undies, undies, undies, undies.

If you can't see the water, you're in underpants.
Local supermarkets, pedestrian crossings, office buildings, public transport.
Anywhere more than 300 meters from the water's edge -- all underpant transformation areas.
If we treat the budgie smuggler with respect -- undies, undies, undies, togs -
everyone wins.

Classic! Given how fashions have a way of going in cycles, then I'm not looking forward to old age if the current "baggy pants" generation becoming the "generation old men in baggy pants"

<Oh Lord! Hopefully by then. there will be turbo powered walkers I can cling to LOL>

"budgie smugglers"

Great video! Thanks for sharing. So true too.

Although, around our beach areas, as a minimum, just towels around hips for guys/gals (or sarongs around hips for gals), are worn over cossies, and that appears acceptable.

Be thankful for small mercies!. As long as our politicos spend their time passing those idiotic laws that cann't be enfoced, laws that do no good or harm, they don't have time to pass harmful laws that increase taxes, abridge property or free speech rights, regulations that increase living costs and other such goodies that they usually pass.
