Folder locked, Files missing

Thanks in advance to everyone,

Yesterday my computer was hit with a ton of viruses as i tried to click on a link. My Mcafee kept poping up with 40+ viruses, and my desktop turned blue. I had no choice but to turn my compute off manually, and when i turned it back on it would load my desktop. I ran the computer restart so it goes back to its original state. But I saved my C drive within my computer still. After finally getting my computer back and running, I went to look at these files. My picture folder says its empty and that access is denied??? But alot of my other old files still work. Did someone steal my pictures? Please any help is very appreciated, I would love to have them back!!!!
