Selecting users to fileshare

Hi, i have 4 computers in the house all running windows vista and i would only want my 2 personal computers sharing files with each other through the network and not let the other 2 computers share files. (i want to share the hard drives, not individual folders)

how do i do that without having a password(password protecting sharing)?

because i like my computers to bootup automatically without having to put a password at the login screen.

is there a way ? sry iam a noob

thanks =]

I believe this setup should work....

...make sure the two computers that are sharing are in the same workgroup while the other two are not...ie (1) workgroup: HOME (2) workgroup: HOME (3) workgroup: MSHOME (4): workgroup: MS2HOME

now 1 and 2 should be able to share and whatnot

3 and 4 will not see each other nor will they see 1 and 2....but all computers should be able to have internet.

give this a shot and report back.

ok there both on MSHOME and there both passwordless and the option password protecting sharing has been turned off but everytime i try and access the computer it says " its not accessible. you might not have permission to use this network resource . contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission " ....

i can access the hard drives when theres a password and when i have to put the user and passowrd but it dosent work with the option off and pw removed :S ??

what am i doing wrong ?

no problem..sometime with the network setup at home..it can cause little laggy problem...but once you just play around or just go about it and come back it will resolve...i think it just the service needs to be restarted or what not...who knows...

glad that worked out
