Red face Administer problems

Just bought a computer from someone who built it themselves. Only problem i cannot overcome is the administrative one. I know how to change in reg to my name however i cannot find anything in this particular registry to change. Anyone any idea how i go about this as there are progs on it i want rid of and cannot do so because it keeps coming up saying i need the administrater rights etc. Thanks in advance

Hello Joyce Reid,

You are not using an admin level user account? Just know there are CTH limitations in what we can provide to bypass security settings, regardless of the situation.

Hi Jintan thanks for the reply i realise your limited when it comes to things like security settings etc. My fault i didnt explain very clearly. I knew about going into registry to change the name and i have eventually found what i was looking for and changed it so i can now delete a game prog which had been installed previously. It still wont let me do some things such as add more winks to hotmail but that could well be the prog itself. I guess its a case of trial and error with this machine lol but thank you for you help. I will now mark this question as answered. Thanks again
