Math Trick!

Here is a math trick that will stump you. Personally I would like to know
who came up with this. He or she obviously has WAY too much time on their hands!!!!

1. Grab a calculator or use your PC. (Do not use decimals)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

Nope

This may be because us Brits only have a 6 digit number!

So do we...

But it's a round about way of saying "the first three digits of your phone number and the last four digits are your phone number are... amazingly... your phone number!"

Anyone else spot the gap in logic here?

Edit;
The number I get is close but has an extra 2 in the middle, and hence is 7 digits.
