Math question.

So I don't think I'm crazy does this tell you accurately that it's 1/4th of 735.

735/4=183.75

No question about math being tricky but, this is no trick question. What you see is what you get.

Oh yeah, I forgot, adding that to 735 will be adding 25%?

I dont get the question. Are you asking whether 735/4=183.75 or if 735/4 is the same as saying 1/4 of 735. Both are correct.

A quarter of something is one fourth of it. The easiest way to calculate a quarter of something is to divide it by four. Easy.

Remember, when it comes to fractions: multiplying a fraction by a number is the same as dividing the number by the fraction's denominator, then mutiplying that result by the fraction's numerator:

735 * 1/4 = 183.75

(735/4) * 1 = 183.75

And yes, a quarter of something is the same as 25%. A percentage is just a fraction with a denominator of 100, which is the same as a decimal number where 100% equals 1.0:

1/4 = 25/100 = 25% = 0.25
