error messages on startup

HELP!!!
After uninstalling A couple of programs off my comp, I am getting this error message:
an error occurred while writing description's file into the main directory.

I have tried reinstalling and uninstalling several times, but no luck getting rid of these adverts that were attached. Thanks in advance.

EDIT

I edited your post due to the programs you listed. Some members might find it Offensive that we would help with you with that type of program. Nothing against you, just keeping Peace with other members.

Hi welcome to Cybertech. I hope you understand why I edited your post....

Anyways, A couple of questions for you.

When do you get the Error message? Is it Random, or while trying to access any file?

You could try a scanreg restore. Go to Start/Shutdown/Restart in Msdos.

At the C:/ Prompt type scanreg /restore Make sure to leave a Space between the G and /

When the Menu appears. Choose a Date prior to the Uninstall of the programs....

Thanks for the edit....I'll be more careful next time.
Error messages appear every time I start or restart windows. I'll let you know how I make out with the scanreg /restore. :o

Ok, you said Error messages. Can you write them down and post it here the Exact error message. That may help in finding the exact problem.
