Help with WinRAR
Hello, I hope you are well.
I have been using WinRAR for years, but have never done what I'm trying to do now. I have a folder filled with 266 JPEG files, and the files add up to be 763MB. I am trying to automatically create RAR files for each batch of files that add up to approximately 45MB. For example, if my first 25 files add up to about 44MB, I want WinRAR to create a RAR file of those first 25 files. And, continuing on with the example, if the 26th to 44th files add up to 45MB, I want WinRAR to create another RAR file for those file. Is there a way for WinRAR to automatically do this? Thanks, Victor |

Hi Victor,
When you create a new archive, in the bottom left is a drop-down menu under 'Split to volumes, bytes'. Enter the size you want i.e. 45mb and away you go. It will continue creating archives even if the last archive is only 2MB ![]() EDIT: I usually right-click the folder to archive and choose 'Add to archive' option.
