Firefox is already Open..........

In the past few months, I'm getting this message almost every time I try to open Firefox and I'm fed up with it. Yes, I know how to go to Task Manager and shut it down, but I never used to have to do this. There must be a reason it's popping up all the time now and (I hope) there must be a way to stop it from occurring--otherwise, I'll be looking for another browser.

Can anyone shed light on this pain in the neck?

something is running to keep it open, try disabling your addons to see if they are causing the problem.
