boot loader
I attempted to upgrade a Vista computer to Win7. Got a boot loader error problem which I couldn't fix so I formatted the hard drive and used the Win7 install disc to load the OS. The computer can't find a boot loader and will not boot from the CD. The CD-Rom works. Is there a way to load the boot loader on to the formatted drive?

Test your bootable CD on another computer. Does it boot that computer?
If so, boot into Setup (Bios) go to the Boot tab. Move CD/DVD drive to first boot device. Save and Exit. You can also press F12 at bootup and do a one time change of boot order to CD/DVD. |
