probable hardware failure on laptop

hello.
i got an acer apsire 5920g
W7
nvidia geforce 9500M GS
intel core 2 duo T9300
4gb DDR2

the thing is i get sometimes a complete computer freeze that wont disappear with whatever i can possibly try(everything stay still and sound loops).
after reseting windows log refers to it as a critical Kernel-Power issue.
( i did get some blue screens as well but this is not the thread for it)
so i tried to use another power adaptor in case there was a problem with filtering the voltage but it seems that this problem has to do with hardware inside my laptop as it froze in bios as well( i tried to format just in case but it still persists even after all is cleaned and fresh).

what i can think of as a solution might be a program for each individual block of hardware to check whether there is a problem or a slight power loss during their opperation...(there should be programms for that but im not sure)

if u got an opinion about this matter please please share it with me.and if u can help in a way it would be greatly appreciated.

if more info are needed please ask me.

I'd be interested in the temperature of the CPU. The BIOS may show you that.

started to happen more often. even after a 10 hour inactivity the laptop stops responding in about 10 to 120 seconds.i dont think it can get to 90+ celcious in 10 seconds can it?

i thought maybe i caught a virus(which my a-virus didnt detect) and it destroyed a small piece of hardware by letting more electricity or something.

ill inform you on the temp the next time. thank you.

Yes it can, in less than ten seconds even.

Catching a virus that your anti-virus did not detect - possible
Destroy by manipulating electrical voltages to components - not possible

can u please tell me the way to check the temp of the cpu through bios as there is no option that allows me that(neither an indication).seems my bios is limited to manipulating boot options and passwords(also limited is my knowledge of things concerning bios).

safe mode dont work either.

thank you for the info concerning virus and electricity.

There is a program SpeedFan that shows your CPU temperature.

forgive me for taking a huge amount of time to answer.i was very far from my laptop this summer. i did check the temp on cpu and it was a solid 30 when i turned laptop for the first time in 2 months...with some usage it seems to have gone to 45~55 both cores as well as HD and overall temp(if thats what "temp" means) and around 65 GPU temp.no crashes yet.
