Cpu Software Cooling a Good Idea
I recently read an article that suggested using software to help cool your cpu. It works by stopping the cpu when is it not in use. Are these a good thing to use or do they shorten the life of the cpu?
Thanks |

A bit of personal experience, for your amusement... I have an Asus A7V classic and when I upgraded AsusProbe it decided I needed 'Cooling' too. I got occasional flaky behavior--no BSODs, but software crashes. When I'd turn off Cooling in the Close Program window, the crashes would cease. The only way I could find to disable Cooling permanently was to rename the executable  |
