Extremely slow

I am running WinXP Pro, P-iv, 253, two HD's, (one 80G), (one, 1Terrabyte), 1Mg ram, Firefox. In the last week, my computer has gotten so slow that I can go get a cup of coffee, before it changes web sites. My server is charter. I have run Housecall, no problems. Any one else having this problem? Thanks, Bill

when you say computer is slow, are you just talking about the browser or opening and running software also?

how full is your c drive. It should also have at least 15-20 percent of the drive free. have have you done a defrag recently.

what about your browsers, it is updated, have you tried another to see if it is a browser issue? try disabling your addons and toolbars to see if it helps.

I checked with my ISP and they sent a tech out to troubleshoot their portion. Found a filter shot and the line from the tap was corroded. They replaced that and it is back to working just fine. Thanks so much. Bill

I found out that my ISP connection was disintegrating. They came out and replaced their connection and filter and everything is working fine now. Thanks. Bill
