Cloning a Laptop hard drive, How to?
I have a Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop that has a 80 Gig Hard drive witha Vista Operation system.
The Hard disk drive (HDD) needs to be replaced because of size issues. I would like to keep the PQ Services partition on the new HDD because of the system eRecovery ability. Is there a Cloning software out there that can clone from a installed original HDD to a new HDD that is connected to the Laptop by a USB HDD adapter? Freeware is Good because this is a one time thing for me I hope! I will consider a pay software if the price is reasonable. Here is another Idea. Could I remove original laptop HDD 80 GB and connect it to a Tower PC Win XP via USB adapter and connect the new 160 GB HDD to the same Tower PC by a USB Adapter and clone one USB Mass Storage Device to anothe USB Mass storage Device? Try Acronis Migrate Easy, I think the demo version is good for 15 days.
