annoying Windows shutdown, right after logon. Even in Safe mode
System:
Emachine T5212 Intel Pentium D 805 (i think) 2.66 Ghz 1Gb Ram 200GB + 400GB (autoslave) HD 1 dvd rom, 1 dvd writer media card reader X1300 ATI graphics Ok this is the problem. I did the foolish act of installing Unsigned drivers for some Bluetooth adapter which promised a virtual Serial port. I restarted the system and Windows still wanted to add "new hardware" (again the virtual serial port). I selected cancel (I had been saying Cancel for a month, until out of curiousity I said yes, the previous time). Now the system keeps crashing after about 2-3 min into a login. Even if I use safe mode, it crashes I even System Restored to a week ago. NO help. If there is a solution let me know. But i'm willing to re install the OS. But the problem is that this computer has the recovery disk as a partition on the 200GB original drive. Also. I would like to keep my original files intact, I do not care about loosing installed programs. As long as I can access my documents on C drive and my 400GB drive is left untouched. I have an external drive (250) in case anyone has suggestions of copying over certain stuff. Thanks for the help. Let me know if you need any more Info. |

don't know if you tried this already or not but you could try to startup using the last known good configuration option instead of safemode.
good luck |
