dial-up disconnects randomly
Can you help me determine if the reason for my dial-up connection to break is due to a damaged modem, or would it be due to a software issue?
Thanks, lajaulavira |

Modem disconnects randomly
No, the modem's settings are not any different from previous settings (when it worked without disconnection).... no call waiting-- etc.
I need to determine if the random disconnection is due to a modem disfunction or if it is due to some internal/software issue. Should I just go and buy a new modem? lajaulavira |

You wouldn't believe it !
Internet explorer has the option of hanging up after retreiving e-mail <hang up when finished> Guess what.... that option was checked; which meant that the connection to the internet ended after the mail was retrieved. Once that option was cancelled, the connection stays on. |
