Well, my first USB stick was either a 32 or 64 MB and cost me at least $1/MB (possibly $2 - can't recall the size)! At the price quoted in the OP and doing a quick calculation, that's about 280 MB per $1 - guess that is progress (not even considering inflation) -

True. But all the others have gone up in size and down in price. Including computers.
Even computers with solid state HD.
So. Whats with the sticks?

Although i am already 250k south of Sydney. With no car and no 'public transport'. I find travel difficult these days.
