Can't install Windows 7

I purchased a Toshiba Lap Top several months ago running Vista Home Premium. I purchased A Windows 7 upgrade Home Premium today and tried to install it. After I downloaded and used the Windows 7 upgrade adviser I then tried to install the program. I got a message that said it could not install Windows 7 until I removed the Intel Proset / Wireless! Now, while I do know how to add/remove programs I am concerned that if I remove this one where will I find it to reinstall later and won't that stop me from being able to use my Lap Top without having to be plugged in?
I tried to install the 64 bit disc as that is what my computer is currently running on and this is the version of Windows made for those of us who already are running Vista. HELP!!

Howdy and welcome to CTH:

What did the advisor say when you ran it?

Did you check the Toshiba website to see if they made Win7 drivers for your system?

The adviser said there were no problems! I wouldn't know where to look or what to look for as I have tried all evening to find a Toshiba site that didn't want to clean out my wallet!

Went to the Toshiba web site and downloaded and installed what they called a Windows 7 install helper Supposed to clean computer of programs that would prevent windows from installing. Did that, followed the steps, put the Windows disc back and what do you know, same thing, won't install because of the Intel wireless
