ethernet light
Hello
Basically I just bought new MB - GA-73PVM-S2H and it looks like it's broken. The problem is that when in plug in ethernet cable into input on MB, the light doesn't turn on and also it doesn't work (it says cable unplugged). So I'm wondering if this is only hardware problem, that nothing else can do this. I already experienced this problem on 2 MB's and only solution was replacement... |

Did you install the driver for the onboard ethernet card that came with your MB software disk? Also, did you check in the bios as to whether the network card is enabled? The last MB I installed I had to go into the bios to enable the network card. Not sure what BIOS you may have, but in my Phoenix Award BIOS, you would go into the "integrated peripherals" section and go to "onboard device" and enable or disable the network card.

yes it enabled in bios and the last time I tried it worked for some time. It said that connection is limited, so I tried to set flow to 100mb full duplex and it stop working. Even though I reset to default, it still doesn't work but atleast there is some life...

If you're using your ethernet card to access the internet, maybe the modem isn't working right. I know if I'm not connected to the internet, my ethernet card light won't flicker.
