Didn't you only fry stuff 'cos you went too far? Surely there's no harm in an extra 150/200 Mhz or something? You might aswell so long as you don't get Mhz-greedy and keep pushing it?

not really. anytime you overclock you are pushing the cpu beyond its recommended limits and you are taking a chance. Whether or not you are safe with even an extra 150 mhz depends upon computer usage and airflow.

true, but what harm losing 5 yrs off the life of a chip that will last 15 when it will be binned in 5?

the other extreme is a little excess heat could permamently damage the motherboard within a few seconds.

I dont think its good to overclock stuff.... Your risking damaging it and with the way stuff is made now,why take a chance??
